FAQs About Dropping IN:
How much does it cost to run with RF501 as a "drop in" runner?
Most marathon training programs around the country do not allow "non-member" runners to participate in any of their training runs because paying attention to runners who are not members taxes the resources available for members. Here at Running Fit 501 we are prepared to accomadate "visitors" so that all runners in our community can see the benefits of being a member of Running Fit 501. The cost to you for this opportunity is only $5. It has been $5 for the past 8 years and is scheduled to increase in 2010, so take advantage of the opportunity now and enjoy your visit with Running Fit 501.
Do you offer a "package" of 'drop in coupons' or deals? I want to run with Running Fit 501, but can only run on Saturdays and would like a "Saturday Package Deal".
So that we may continue to allow drop in runners, we need to keep the process simple and affordable, and at the same time continue to allow our resources to focus on supporting all the runners at our group runs. Creating a "package" and managing the details of that package or 'drop in coupons' would pull from our resources and decrease the amount of support that we offer now.
If I am a frequent drop in runner can I have access to the Running Fit 501 calendar so that I can view all your group runs?
Unfortunately you are asking for one of the benefits of being a Running Fit 501 member. A drop in runner is consider a "visitor" no matter how many times you drop in.
If I am a drop in runner and I decide I want to become a member can my drop in fees that I have paid so far go towards my membership?
Certainly, we understand that some runners can only understand the benefit of being a member of Running Fit 501 after they have participated in a few group activities. Your membership fee will be pro-rated accordingly for the season.
You'll find water and Ultima on all RF501 courses every two to three miles
